cred
As Pocket Outdoor Media’s editorial director, I oversaw content strategy for Triathlete Magazine, Women’s Running, and Podium Runner while also serving as Triathlete’s editor-in-chief. Before that, I was at Outside Magazine where I launched the Fitness Coach column and held various posts over several years, including online staff writer, fitness editor, and Fit List columnist. During that time, I also published my first book, OFF COURSE Inside the Mad, Muddy World of Obstacle Course Racing (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt).
I also create sponsored content, collaborating with clients including Qualcomm, Target, The Macallan, Gatorade Endurance, and Chamberlain, among others, to produce both written and video content.
My work has appeared in Outside Magazine, The New York Times, Atlas Obscura, Men’s Journal, Men’s Health, Entrepreneur, Inspirato, REI Co-Op Journal, espnW, Women’s Running, Competitor, Inside Triathlon, Lava, and Triathlete. I also shoot and edit video myself, sometimes, and am a member of Stanford Magazine‘s advisory board.
